The Preparation:
I discovered that there would be a Tournament on Honoochu’s channel. So I decided to message her to see if she had any shoutcasting slots available.
She then assigned me a space. And it’s in the finals. I believe it will be difficult because it is around 11:00pm PH time. I was also concerned about if my energy was still there.
I watch Honoochu’s stream and take a few notes on the quality of her live. We’ll she’s a hell of an entertainer. She just do whatever she wants in her stream.
The Collaboration with Honoochu:
Collaborating with Honoochu, a well-known name in the esports scene, adds another dimension of excitement and responsibility to the project.
She was dubbed the “girl version of Ana,” a Dota 2 pro player with two TI championships! It was an honor to be invited to cast on this stage.
The Finals: High Ego vs Nomadic
The teams competing in the finals were High Ego and Nomadic, both with rosters of extremely good players. The bouts promised to be a display of strategic brilliance.
Mechanical expertise meets high-stakes drama. The winner will take home P5000.
Game 1:
Honoochu starts with an interview for the both teams to spice up the game. High Ego(Radiant) picks Hoodwink, Doom, Grimstroke, Invoker, Ursa. While Nomadic picks
Tusk, Vengeful Spirit, Arc Warden, Ember Spirit, Tidehunter. It was a one sided game in favor of High Ego. As their Invoker dictating the tempo of the game. And The Doom
timely blink dagger plus shivas guard together with grimstroke add havoc to their enemies. A glimpse of hope in the last minute of the game for Nomadic. As their
Tidehundter complete its refresher. But it’s too late as High Ego team wiped them at the 49 minute mark. 1-0 for High Ego.
Game 2:
We observe a far more exciting second game. High Ego runs their global strategy with a Zeus, Spectre, combined with Hoodwink, Shadow Demon, and Mars. While a lane dominant Timbersaw, Batrider, plus the aura sister of Luna and Vengeful,
and a mid Void Spirit.
Nomadic Timbersaw and Batrider make the lane difficult for Spectre by harrassing or killing her in the early stage of the game.A fight broke out in the bottom lane around the 10-minute mark. Mars from High Ego put up an arena for Timbersaw. Timbersaw tries to flee, but a beautiful bushwack from Hoodwink prevents him from doing so, as they defeat Timbersaw and Batrider. Nomadic’s Void Spirit tries to help. But all of the heroes of High Ego were present, and Void Spirit fled.
Around 11 minutes, High Ego arrived to the dire’s triangle. But Nomadic was ready when Batrider unleashed his flaming lasso to defeat Mars.
Another team fight at 13 minutes, as Nomadic Vengeful Spirit swaps Spectre, at the dires tier 1 bottom tower. But High Ego’s Mars was present with arena to save Spectre. Nomadic, along with Zeus and the Shadow Demon, defeated the Batrider. Nomadic’s Void Spirit jumps and killed the Shadow Demon. He immediately focused on Zeus as his next target. Void Spirit receives a double kill. As the chase continues, High Ego’s Spectre Shadow Steps were effective in defeating Vengeful Spirit. Timbersaw attempted to kill Mars, but the latter escaped with a blink dagger.
Nomadic’s Void Spirit and Timbersaw are snowballing their way through the game, smashing every hero they come across. A big damage Luna with Daedalus, Manta Style, and Bkb deals damage to Nomadic. However, around the 30-minute mark, Zeus’ Wrath and Spectre’s Shadow Step arrived on schedule. Spectre successfully steals the aegies. They used this advantage to slay the Void Spirit in the middle, followed by Timbersaw. High Ego successfully wipes out their opponent as a squad. Spectre now possesses manta, orchid, eye of skadi, diffusal, threads, and basher.
A back-and-forth team brawl occurred. At the 41-minute mark, both teams were smoking in the bottom lane. Mars has the arena, but no kills occur. The Hoodwink was killed by both the Void Spirit and the Vengeful Spirit. Hoodwink receives an immediate buyback. Spectre shadow steps towards Vengeful Spirit, killing him. Timbersaw chakram and chain deal heavy damage against High Ego’s heroes. Another buyback, this time with High Ego’s Mars. Zeus is murdered in the process. Mars, Hoodwink trying
to turn the fight, but it ends with Mars’ death. Hoodwink attempted to calm the aegies, but failed. (43 minutes! You should watch the video and clip it, guys! Listen to Honoochu:)
Nomadic damage was too much as they took Game 2 of the finals.
Game 3:
Sorry I didn’t cast game 3. High Ego win and became the tournament’s champion
The Learning Experience:
Aside from the excitement of casting, the process was really informative. It challenged me to enhance my analytical skills, explain difficult material in an understandable and entertaining manner, and adjust to the dynamic flow of live events. I discovered that it is not about how I present my casting talent, but about how to adapt in a new setting. Honoochu’s stream and material were humorous and enjoyable. And Miss C1gss understanding of the game was top notch!
I think my game plan worked. To not took away the spotlight from her, showcase my talent, and be just me. I hope you enjoy and more collaborations, Miss Honoochu. Thanks.
